IN CANADA...
Personal income tax was introduced in Canada in 1917, as a temporary measure, due to the "extraordinary expenditures" related to World War I (1914-18). However, the end of armed conflict did not lead to it's expected disappearance, because Canada's war debt totalled $2 billion. The economic crisis of 1929 and World War II (1939-45) did nothing to help Canadian finances recover. The history of "temporary" taxes repeated itself over and over until it became a permanent fixture in the minds of all citizens. All Canadians, including Quebecers, have therefore paid federal income tax since 1917, and the debate about whether it should be constitutional till this day is rarely ever brought up. Film Director Aaron Russo made a film documentary about whether or not there was a law requiring Americans to pay an income tax...or was the tax a fraud being perpetrated? Below is the video via YouTube, it's 1 of 11 parts...follow along when you have the time, because it's a very very interesting video.
In America they fight harder against this Tax...

I follow your blog because it doesn't always have just music shit...this film by Russo is a good discussion piece, I've known about Tax abolitionists for awhile, they got a good argument and an even greater fight on their hands. R.I.P Aaron Russo
