Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey, is the mother of the late great music producer James “J Dilla” Yancey, and she is currently battling the same disease that took her son’s life (Lupus). Parra was inspired by her story and teamed up with Stones Throw to create a tribute t-shirt for Ma Dukes where proceeds will go to Ma Dukes. The t-shirt can be ordered here. It could make for a very cute birthday or mother's day T-shirt, if your mama is hip like that.
