Tyrese and his now ex-wife Norma Mitchell met on a trip to London in 2002; he ended up moving her to the States a year later. They married in 2007 shortly after their daughter was born. The marriage was short-lived and Tyrese currently pays Norma $5,000 a month, plus rent on a $2700 apartment and nearly $800 a month for the lease on her Range Rover. However, Norma now claims that her expenses far exceed the $5000 a month he gives her. What kills me is that this all flys in the face of a prenuptial agreement signed by the both of them, and more and more women are signing them now because they know they can be contested - Gee I wish I could sign something and it not be legally binding. How does she challenge it?
Well...in the divorce petition Norma says that one outfit for their daughter Shayla costs over $350 and Tyrese prefers that the baby doesn’t wear the same outfit twice. A pair of shoes costs at least $100 and she claims Tyrese does not like to see the baby in scuffed shoes so she has to purchase them frequently (this made me laugh because what does it matter what Tyrese likes after a divorce, if he doesnt like something your doing as a mother then he'l buy his daughter shoes himself lmao). She also spends over $300 on toys, over $1000 on the baby’s jewelry and over $250 on grooming supplies for Shayla per month. Norma also outlined expenses for traveling to Disneyland every other month, the aquarium three times a month, first class flights and expensive hotels since they are now accustomed to these things.
She is requesting that the court orders Tyrese to pay her at least $12,000 a month, and she might very well win in this case because a standard prenup is absolutely USELESS. I find that this causes unhappy wealthy couples in most cases to stick it out together, because it's cheaper...lol. The whole idea of a prenuptial agreement is to eliminate hundreds of hours in court, and it's supposed to simplify a settlement between 2 people before emotional unrest in a relationship, because feuding divorces often times cloud judgement. This world is twisted...lol
