Lacoste - Limited Edition Crocodile Collection

The Ibizia Amazonia...by Lacoste.

This year, Lacoste revisits its roots in its association with the world’s longest living reptile, the crocodile, to create a line of limited edition kicks. The Limited Edition Crocodile Mythology Collection is inspired by crocodile myths all around the world. This collection will drop at three different times, April, May and June. The first installation to be released in April looks to crocodile mythologies in West Africa, Egypt and Polynesia; the second one in May will look to New York and Africa; the last drop in June will explore myths in Japan, Ibiza and India. All sneakers feature a motif that corresponds to the myth it is based on. For example, the Rene Lacoste Japan to be released in June incorporates a satin feel to its upper fabric and has a digital interpretation of crocodile skin print– all reference to kimonos and Japanese myth where a crocodile rescued a Japanese blind man from drowning in the sea. Another exciting detail to look forward to– all shoes will be specially packaged in a special edition box with a postcard and booklet that outlines the myth the shoes are based on. Be sure to keep a lookout for this new collection from Lacoste.
