Dennis Ingemansson: Flying Apartment Systems

Via: dennisingemansson.com

You might have witnessed amazing floating structures (on the water) in the past, but what about residing in an apartment that floats in the sky and moves residents between continents within no time. Yes, I’m talking about the “Flying Apartment System” by Dennis Ingemansson that the designer has visualized for the year 2060. Designed in collaboration with a team comprising Michael Robinson, Diego Della Spiga, Jak Haleva, Turi Cacciatore and Luca Buttafava, the Flying Apartment System will take the residents to a neat and clean world, floating like an airplane at a high altitude. Capable of changing its appearance dramatically to battle the furies of the atmosphere, the flying apartment cum vehicle featuring an exterior morphing can move the residents from one continent to the other in 15-20 minutes only. Enjoying basic, rather luxurious, requirements of modern life, you’ll be able to cover the distance between Shanghai and New York in just 20 minutes and London to Dubai in 27 minutes, offering a new and more powerful mode of transportation between the continents. Definitely, the Flying Apartment System is looking like a distant dream, but who knows what the evolving technology assisting the growing needs of human beings can offer in the days to come.
