The O’Reilly Factor: Trying to slam Canadian Health Care
OK...so as a Canadian I have to give my view on this. The first thing I would do is tell all Americans that their health care system is far BEHIND the rest of the world. Even with American-Style private insurance, people still have to wait sometimes for an appointment with doctors, so its not like private insurance is magic & rids the health care system of inefficiencies. I know plenty of Americans who MARRY Canadians and as a result get free health care. They can't stop talking about how great it is. My aunt whose in Canada had a baby and her hospital bill was like 3 dollars and it was for a phone call. I never have issues seeing a specialist and I've had the same family dr for years. In Canada people's children are born and their health cards are issued on the spot while in the hospital with their newborns. That same aunt needed to have a surgery done once, she saw her DR on the Tuesday and her surgery was scheduled for Wednesday. When I have to go to the emergency room, I dont pay a cent and depending on the severity of the issue, I’m out of there in 4 hrs or so. Our government does a decent job with health care because yes, we have high taxes here. The question becomes ARE YOU SEEING YOUR TAX DOLLARS GOING TO GOOD USE? I would hate to live with private health care where I have to go to approved medical facilities or shell out cash every time I go to a DR. I’m fully satisfied across the border...you guys can continue fighting for privatization which is really nothing other then insurance-crooks bleeding you dry.
I can't stand Fox television...especially O'Reilly and his rude demeanor.
