Brand Jordan’s own website, Jumpman23, is celebrating Michael Jordan’s induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame this year with a special online feature entitled, History of Flight, which gives all of us Jordan Brand fans some facts about all twenty-four signature Air Jordan’s. Reminiscent of pop-up books, the interactive feature showcases all of the signature Air Jordan’s in all White with various graphics, each a representation of things that are symbolic. - We all know Air Jordan XIV (14) was inspired by Jordan’s Ferrari Maranello 550. But did you know the basis for Air Jordan II (2) was a pair of women’s boots from the 19th century!
- The first Air Jordan logo, Winged Basketball, was conceived on a designer’s drawing on a cocktail napkin
- A conflict occurred the marketing phase of Air Jordan XIX (19). Jordan Brand wanted a campaign centered around the speed and agility of snakes. Except MJ has phobia when it comes to snake. A compromise was reached
