The Fight is almost Over
I've written quite alot on my blog about American Politics; mainly because what happens in America has alot to do with how the rest of the world will react, and it is of some interest to me because it is the world's most publicized fake-democracy.
Why Do I call it Fake?
Here's my Answer: Every four years approximately half of all eligible voters (the other half has the good sense to stay home) head to the polls to engage in what amounts to little more than the political version of the “Taste Test Challenge.”
Their choices: Coke or Pepsi, and like ubiquitous soft-drinks, the Republicans’ and the Democrats’ primary goal is to gain as many loyal consumers as possible. Many voters have been chugging their brand of choice for decades; others may have just started, and a few may have even switched brands along the way. Of course, as with any established product, there are times – oh, about every four years or so – when the public begins to grow dissatisfied. They discover that New Coke doesn’t taste as good as the old version, and that Pepsi One doesn’t quite measure up as advertised. Fortunately, there’s always a slightly revised version – Now there's Pepsi Jazz or Coca-Cola Zero – fresh off the corporate assembly line designed to excite and entice the masses once again. Well at least for four more years – or until the public realizes that despite all the glitter, slogans, and hype surrounding the latest drink, they are still consuming nothing more than carbonated water and corn syrup.
As you all might already know, we are 4 days away from America's electoral politics being over; and this will usher in the next 4 years of transformative world changes. Obama is the new brand of President...he's new, he's fresh, he's a "change" from the same old crowd in washington, and he's an upgrade in rhetorical ability from the previous cowboy talking George W Bush. He's a striking contrast from the lame John Mccain who says "Unlike Obama, I dont have to be tested my friend". Is John Mccain talking some shit or what...It wouldn't matter how many years he's done in the senate...fact is he's never been president before so he'd be just as under the microscope as the last guy, every president is tested in that office because the challenges of the last 4 years will differ from those faced in the next administration. But as usual Americans keep chuggin down their brand of choice and they'll go right back to a previous brand after Obama, make no mistake about that.
LMAO!!!
