“I use a cream to keep my skin smooth and soft. I apply it before I go to bed. When I was playing for Chicago all those years, I was in the sun a lot for 1 o’clock games,” said Sosa, who turns 41 tomorrow. “The flashes (from the cameras) also made my skin look lighter. I’m surprised with the controversy this has caused.”

Sosa, who would not tell Dandrades the name of the cream he uses, did say that it is European and that he is in negotiations to market the product. He added that he wears colored contact lenses because he wanted to “try something different. I’m not trying to be superficial.” Asked by Dandrades if Sosa was trying to be like Jackson, the 1998 NL MVP laughed.

“Not at all, I respect him very much,” said Sosa, who gave the interview at his Miami penthouse apartment on Monday. “I’m not a racist. I’m not like that. I’m just a happy person.”

Someone I know sent me a picture of Beyonce studying with Zahi Hawass. Zahi Hawass is an Egyptian archaeologist, an Egyptologist and the current Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities. The both of them seen here in Giza at sunset. Zahi must have been in heaven, especially since Beyonce was nice enough to dress as Isis for him lol. Beyonce played at a Red Sea resort on Friday despite objections by Radical Islamicist groups, who branded it a "sex party" and called Beyonce a "Satanist." You'd think they'd have more important things to worry about these days. Anyway, good to see pop cultural icons interested in matters beyond the everyday consumerism.

This is the now available URSUS BAPE line of BAPE; it was firts seen in a picture with Nigo and his friend, Tetsu “Tet” Nishiyama (head of URSUS BAPE and creative director of WTAPS) holding a royal purple jacket, and it was posted as a preview a little while back. These jackets will be available on Nov 11 when the Melton Jacket is released at the BAPE New York store. The wool jacket comes in two colorways, purple and navy, and both feature chain stitching detail with a warm quilt lining. The graphics feature Tet’s motor-inspired design of a low rider in the back and an embroidered logo on the chest.

The NOISE collaboration project between Nike Sportswear and fragment design started with apparel, including a number of different t-shirts, and is now being applied to sneakers, notably the Terminator High. I was speaking to a friend today on BBM and she was telling me about her son who was admitted to hospital because of the Swine Flu. I was sadened that her son was sick; but before I could tell her not to give her son the swie flu shot, she hit me with a dose of information that I hadn't even known about the vaccine. Malik Melech Solomon: this latest flu pandemic sure is scaring a lot of people out of their wits, but I think it's a fear that will result in massive flu shot and flu drug sales for big pharmaceutical companies; don't fret, do everything you can to boost his immune system naturally as you would if confronted by any other flu.

Dee: Thank you. That's exactly what I'm doing with garlic, ginger, real cranberry juice and manuka honey. I refused the h1n1 treatment because the side effects are terrible and really its just the flu and the government is just trying to scare the public in my opinion. The ingredients in the treatment are nothing but sugar, salt, synthetic dyes for color and propylene glycol which is in anti freeze. Thankfully because I create natual cosmetics I know what these ingredients are and the harm they can do.

The Flu Shot: Umm No Thank You....

Donald Draper of Mad Men: This picture conveys how I feel...

I came across this picture while surfing online, and it's a picture of the television series character Donald Draper from "Mad Men". I'm a fan of the show (Mad Men and the TV show Entourage are the only TV show's I'll watch) because their relative to the field I work in where we take unambiguous marketing problems and solve them. Lately I've come across some inspirational client briefs that are fantastic; and once their developed I feel that these ideas will make enormous waves of change.

The only 3 things that are on my mind in 2010:

‘Increase brand awareness’
‘Launch my product into the market’
‘Make people love and engage with my brand’

Anyone who can do those three things will be successful. In a lot of ways today's professional marketing departments have changed the relationships that agencies have had with client organizations and the roles that they play for them. I'm feeling very good about the projects that I have heaped upon my desk for this coming new year, because I am getting more intrinsically involved, more emotionally attached, and I'm putting the feeling that you see in that dominant pose above into everything that I do.

I came across this sportscoat blazer and I couldn't take my eyes off of it...the elbow patches are so retro but it works within this look and color and I would rock this hard no problem. This coat would run you about $895, but who cares...it's dope! lol

Gucci Sneaker Store: Mark Ronson Sneakers

Gucci’s Frida Giannini worked with Mark Ronson on this flash sneaker store concept as of this October 2009. Together with Mark Ronson, Gucci worked on limited edition Gucci Ronson sneakers. The collection overall consists of 16 men’s styles and 2 women’s styles, with each sneaker coming with a special Gucci silver or gold metal dog tag. Customers initials can be engraved onto customized leather tags on the laces. On top of the special make-up and packaging, each Gucci Ronson sneaker will come with a 12-inch vinyl record with tracks selected by Mark Ronson.

The first Gucci Icon-Temporary store will debut at Crosby Street in New York City on October 23rd, with Frida Giannini and Mark Ronson attending the kick-off party. The store will open to the public on October 24th and will stay open for 2 weeks. In December the temporary space will move to Miami to coincide with Art Basel Miami and Design Miami and in 2010 the pop-up store will come to London and Tokyo.

Obama Issues New Medical Marijuana Policy

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration will not seek to arrest medical marijuana users and suppliers as long as they conform to state laws, under new policy guidelines to be sent to federal prosecutors Monday. Two Justice Department officials described the new policy to The Associated Press, saying prosecutors will be told it is not a good use of their time to arrest people who use or provide medical marijuana in strict compliance with state laws.

The new policy is a significant departure from the Bush administration, which insisted it would continue to enforce federal anti-pot laws regardless of state codes. Fourteen states allow some use of marijuana for medical purposes: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington.

California is unique among those for the widespread presence of dispensaries -- businesses that sell marijuana and even advertise their services. Colorado also has several dispensaries, and Rhode Island and New Mexico are in the process of licensing providers, according to the Marijuana Policy Project, a group that promotes the decriminalization of marijuana use.

Short Film: 'We Were Once A Fairytale' - Kanye West x Spike Jonze

There are a lot of different interpretations that you could pull from this short film, but I’d be interested in hearing your take. Keep in mind, this was filmed before the MTV VMA incident. I personally saw it from the eyes of what most females have told me about abrasive annoying guys in the club scene who try and push up on the ladies. I thought Kanye West was pretty dope in his conveyance of those traits (his acting wasn't half bad).
