If you didn't think rap music could speak to your intellect anymore while making you bounce, then just input the words "smart rappers" into your GPS - it will lead you to where the flow is a bit colder on the map, yep...Toronto Canada. I will say this a million times to hip hop heads all over the world, Toronto has talent (and I LIVE IN T-DOT).

Toronto's JD ERA (rising star)...has a new (EP) album coming out soon, and it's supposed to be called "The Take Off" and that's scheduled for some time in February. My prediction is that it will be a solid all around album (with features that will propel this artist to new heights). Through him I can see the Toronto rap scene growing and hip hop benefiting in general...LOOK out for his new video when it drops.
DRAKE SEASON
Drake just signed an impressive management deal with the superstar team of Gee Roberson and Kyambo “Hip Hop” Joshua (who manages Kanye West), and Cortez Bryant (who handles Lil’ Wayne). He’ll kick off ‘09 touring North America with Weezy, hitting Toronto on Jan, 15th. His upcoming mixtape is called So Far Gone, and his debut album will be called Thank Me Later, and its due out later this year.
Dr Dre - He's such a perfectionist...
Detox is supposed to be the upcoming third and final studio album by rapper and record producer Dr. Dre. It was originally due for a 2004 release, but was not completed because Dr. Dre wanted to concentrate on producing for artists that were on his Aftermath Entertainment record label. We might see it in 2009...
