On the right hand side - you have Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is Iran's president (he answers only to his boss, a religious leader they call 'The Ayatollah' Hashemi Rafsanjani, chairman of Iran's powerful Expediency Council). Here in this picture Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is seen embracing Palestinian Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal to the left. Barack Obama feels that there is a distinction between Iran and Hamas, and that one can be talked to while the other is seen as a fanatic. How will the incoming President speak to one of them while not agreeing to speak to the other?
This is what I believe...
I believe the Palestinians have poor representation, Hamas cannot be considered a legitimate partner at the negotiationg table, but this is who stands in Obama's way...a group of masked vigilantes who didn't seize democratic control because they were the best choice available. Between 2 Palestianian evils, the Palestianian people chose the more radical Hamas over the more conservative Fatah movement because Yasser Arafat's former PLO had robbed the people of billions of dollars in foreign aid, that could have been used to build roads, schools and hospitals rather then buy crummy rockets that will only invoke the wrath of the Isreali army in the end. THE CONFLICT WILL SADLY CONTINUE...Barack Obama has his hands full.

even i would vote hamas in power, people are desperate for change there too. Obama is only in the US not in Palestine. they have to go to the best choice like you said. vandals or extremists or whatever. They have been humiliated and abused to great extent by the Isreali govt and their army.
here's a thought i wonder how many americans would feel if 2 to 4 billion dollars would be invested in jobs in america, in poverty or crime infested areas, to improve education, to create programs for single moms, help those hungry people etc. no The US would rather send that much in aid to Isreal. Why what export does isreal provide them. help isreal as you would any other nation, dont fund their state terror.
If i were to draw comparisons to aouth africa and apartheid, watch how many african americans would voice their disapproval of whats happening there. and You know i can. and even better what if i were to compare it to Nazi germany, and yes i can draw those comparison.
we need to learn from past attrocities to make sure they dont occur again. and although the news papers make it out ot be muslim vs. jews its not.
Arabs are christians and muslims, but that angle would actually get more people around the world speaking out against the offensive. so let the media report it as muslims vs isreal. because media and propganda has a tendency to put blinders on society.
