"Get Janet" also known as Janet Han is a very recession proof lady...

In economics, the term recession describes the reduction of a country's gross domestic product. A Toronto native by the name of Janet Han, a professed shopaholic and industry known fashionista has just the kind of product people would want during such times, something better for less. In the heart of Toronto, located inside Moda at 632 Queen St. W is a very trendy shop called “Fashionably Yours” - a consignment shop that sells second-hand designer clothes and streetwear only a season or two old.

Janet Han says this of her shop: "It's the type of business that really booms during a recession," says Han of selling strictly current, gently used clothing. "I've been planning and researching for five years. I found consignment boutiques either cater toward older wealthy women or budget-conscious families, but there was nothing for young, trendy, hip fashionistas." More about her shop can be read HERE in this article in the Toronto Star.

The 2 points of notable mention that caught my attention was this: (150 items in the shop come from her personal closet), and she also wants to offer recessionistas a place where they could make some money and instantly update their wardrobe (Anything that doesn't sell within three months is returned to the consigner or donated to a local women's shelter) - this was a very strong selling point in as far as her brand is concerned and it's a very community integrated idea from a woman whose bound to be a force in this particular niche market. 2nd point of observation was: her website www.fashionably yours.ca, it's design approach is blog-oriented, which shows how in tune she is with the modern era, business is going to be run in this industry via blog-website format because it is simple yet informative, and also adaptable to mobile and email related alert systems.

We'l be watching this turn into a Toronto success-story and possibly a franchise.
