50 Cent: Forever King Mix Tape Premier - Is 50 Cent Muslim?

On this Mixtape he's got a track called: Micheal Jackson Freestyle, and it's opening lyrics are as follows...

-- 50 Cent

They say I ain't Lyrical; they say I ain't a miracle,
I say sum hard shit so they say I ain't spirtual;
They act like they know God better then me,
I know God Allah, I used to pump crack up the street,
Allah U Akbar, Clap and run through your backyard;
Let the Mac Off...tear half of your back off...

--

Personally:

I BELIEVE HE BELIEVES IN THE ALMIGHTY POWER OF DA 100 DOLLAR BILLZ, and I wouldn't blame him for having business acumen (there's nothing wrong with being a capitalist). I think a lot of MC's invoke an Islamic familiarity because its like getting votes in the hood among Muslim African Americans who might be inclined to think that 50 is inclined to their views. Another Artist who does this brilliantly is Rapper Nas...he'll mention "Islam" or "Allah" and then wear a big diamond studded cross around his neck. After having listened to Rap Music for so long (and I'm a real hip hop head) I can see what their doing and who they're trying to pull in without offending other people who might be Christians as well. It's all about being everything to everybody without really being anything at all...(heh it's music right...it's entertainment?)

And just so you guys don't think I'm hating...I actually think this is 50's best mixtape out right now...and I bumped it in the car all day yesterday just to take it in...so I can be impartial and still critical of something I see someone deliberately doing. Now if he takes the Muslim oath of "Shahada" and grows a beard...I might be more inclined to think he's being serious like Rapper Loon did...but I think we all know 50 is not going to do that anytime soon...LOL.
