This is a videoclip of Bill Bailey from approximately 1955. A very talented dancer with great balance and control of his feet. I was pretty shocked to see the last few seconds! It raised in my mind a very interesting question -- who really invented the moonwalk? And could Micheal have been that astute of a student in dance that he'd pull this move right out of Bill Bailey's 1955 Bojangles performance? This is a fascinating and educational bit of historical video footage. See for yourself...
Micheal's version of the moonwalk move had a stronger flotation effect, but still...Bill Bailey was pretty dead on in the final seconds of this video as well.
