Jay-Z's new single re-establishes him as the genre's rightful ruler - Death of Autotune

Download: Jay Z - Death of Autotune

Jay-Z's new single from his upcoming September 11th release, Blueprint 3, has arrived. New York's Hot 97 premiered "D.O.A." and, in one line, we hear Hova simultaneously shit on the current state of rap music and re-establish himself as the genre's rightful ruler: "You rappers singing too much. Get back to rap, you T-Paining it too much." After Jay-Z's two-year absence, it may just take one song to grab the proverbial neck of rap music and bluntly dismantle the autotune box strapped to it. T-Pain is ashamed, Jeezy is crying somewhere, and Kanye is a bit depressed (but still positive that he is the shit). Do you think this song will live up to its namesake and put auto tune to rest?
