There have been previous times in history where riots were ‘authentic instances of rage’ [via OJ Simpson trial + Rodney King heightened racial tensions etc], or when looting was justified [via Hurricane Katrina], but last night the riots taking place in Los Angeles were ‘acts of greed’/'dumb ppl who value ‘kewl shit’ too much.
Some rioters were so proud of rioting, they used their iPhones and uploaded pics to twitpic live from the carnage in L.A.
A perfect picture that paints American consumerism to a tee...
