Despite the different geographical and political landscapes of these countries, what do they all have in common? and what thread weaves through those similarities in an almost effortless way? LOOK...All of these countries have poor and disenfranchised peoples living within their borders, and nothing has electrified their youth across all racial and religious boundaries more then HIP HOP.
No other music genre transcends a subculture and then splashes into the mainstream as effectively as Hip Hop culture does. Hip Hop acts as the language of the oppressed masses expressing itself in multiple forms depending on the artist. No other artform within music uses the poetic structure of rhyming and engenders within it messages that can either make you laugh or make you mad, it is this difference within the music genres that keep Hip Hop around as a relevant musical form for many years to come.
Its here to stay...
