Nas - Queens Get The Money

Nas, New Album Untitled - Rated **** stars out of 5
(A rating of 4 when their is more then the half a dozen avg, 6 songs liked)
(I give a full 5 rating if there's atleast 10 Bangers)

Tracks I liked on the new Nas Album

- The Intro (I'd never usually rate an intro but it was lyrically phresh)
- America (reminded me of Lupe Fiasco's "American Terrorist")
- Testify (My Favorite track on the album right now)
- N.I.G.G.E.R, slave and the master (decent track)
- Hero (Monster Beat) Prod by Polow Da Don
- Untitled, Louis Farrakhan (I thought this was artistically brave)
- Fried Chicken (There is always that one huge creative track by Nas)

Nasir Jones had this to say about his concept album: " I'm doing my dream. If you could, wouldn't you do it? What else would you do? Every time I do something, it's, 'Oh, he's doing it because this and that.' Since my first album, everybody has an explanation of why. What am I supposed to be doing here? " (Nuff Said)

Art imitates life...people should just let artists express their art and let the public scrutinize it or glorify it for what it really is after the release, whether you think its brilliant art or garbage; the public reaction will speak volumes through its sales and overall appreciation, I'm against censorship and parents should be the ones monitoring a child's purchase. Personally I liked this most recent effort by Nas more then his previous "Hip Hop is Dead" ...by far this one was more fiercely substantive and one of the year's most revolutionary efforts; put forward by an artist who quite frankly would have had more to lose by putting something like this out there in today's marketplace. The album is a cross between Dead Prez and Lupe Fiasco in feel and theme.

To Quote Nas himself...
"You little rap fans way out in safe suburbia...
would you stand with me, a United States Murderer, Huh? "

There's also a NiggerTape by DJ Green Lantern on some exclusive shit.
