The Chocolate Boy Wonder (whose legendary name is Pete Rock) and the Brand Nubian himself Sadat X take it back to the elemental hip hop that I love on this joint called "Turn It Up" from The Wild Cowboys II album. It's available in stores now and it's sold online (in Vinyl & in Digital format - courtesy of Fatbeats Records). I watch a lot of music videos and more often then not video directors don't visually succeed at conveying the lyricism ingrained within the audio; this video isn't like that; it does the simple but potent job of capturing Sadat X's lyrics beautifully, and the joint is straight fire!!!
The line I liked the most was: " I'm not the nigga to put his name to just anything..." (you gotta be selective!) lol
