Converse Japan: Jack Purcells (formal and casual aesthetic)

Brand new from Converse Japan are these Jack Purcells. Paradoxically capturing both a more formal and a casual aesthetic the shoes appear to be a refined, more sophisticated version of the iconic chuck taylor boot. Stand out features include the stretchy-rubber on the sides of the shoe, allowing for ease of movement, as well as the prominent heel tab and cylindrical laces to match the boot. The shoes will drop at around $90 and will be available imminently in either black or white.

Japanese WTaps takes inspiration from 70s or 80s vintage ski jackets for this Ski Jacket that is constructed with 100% polyester shell and padding. Adding its signature style onto the classic silhouette that is characterized by two large pockets with snap button flaps. A single lightening logo on the left chest adds military feel to this item.

BAPE - URSUS BAPE Melton Jacket

This is the now available URSUS BAPE line of BAPE; it was firts seen in a picture with Nigo and his friend, Tetsu “Tet” Nishiyama (head of URSUS BAPE and creative director of WTAPS) holding a royal purple jacket, and it was posted as a preview a little while back. These jackets will be available on Nov 11 when the Melton Jacket is released at the BAPE New York store. The wool jacket comes in two colorways, purple and navy, and both feature chain stitching detail with a warm quilt lining. The graphics feature Tet’s motor-inspired design of a low rider in the back and an embroidered logo on the chest.

UBIQ: Japanese Sneaker Brand - very clean and simple (we like it)

An iconic model from Japanese sneaker brand UBIQ is "The Fatima". For this latest model the uppers of choice is synthetic leather making the sneaker more boot like aesthetically than the previous releases. Three colorways will hit the shelves including Black, White and Brown. For added accent, there is a flip down section on the upper which reveals the checker pattern fabric underneith. Crisp white midsoles are simple yet brings out the overall minimal feel. The insole is made of PU material which is great for absorbing and cushioning. These sneakers will be released early May.
