Disney meets Casio: Mickey Mouse G-Shock DW-5600

Via: retailer - shipsjetblue

Japanese jewelery brand Jam Home Made worked with Disney and Casio to produce some custom designed watches. The dial graphics looks like a retro toy watch for children and the simple illustration style adds an unique feel that have not been pursued by DW-5600 or any other G-Shocks in the past. With all other details blacked out, the watch almost does not look like a G-Shock from afar.

The LCD back lighting have been modified to light up in red Mickey icon. These will be released around early September and SHIPS JET BLUE's online store is currently taking pre-orders.

British Military Rolex: Oyster Perpetual Submariner Watch

This nice looking Oyster Perpetual Submariner will be up for auction at the Antiquorum (lot #63) in New York. Estimates place the sale price to likely be between $20,000 – $30,000. Some might think the band cheapens it...but personally I'd know how to dress this watch down, it's dope.

Made in 1972 and issued to the Royal British Navy. Very fine and rare, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel military diver's wristwatch with fixed bar lugs. Accompanied by a service guarantee from Rolex UK, dated November 7th, 2008 along with correspondence confirming the delivery of this watch to the British Ministry of Defense in 1975.

Mastermind JAPAN x Casio G-shock Frogman: Chills down my spine, sooo Dope

Via: Cliff Edge

Continuing G-shock's ever growing list of collaborative projects, mastermind JAPAN is the latest Japanese brand to take on the popular Frogman model. Featuring subtle branding on the face, the watch includes signature skull-logos on the backlight, reverse plate and box. Including all the usual technical features of the Frogman, Mastermind has opted for a solid all-black-everything colorway. The chunky watch is limited to just 200 pieces and was only officially released at the Ron Herman Futago-Tamagawa flagship store, though you can pick one up at the link above the top picture.

The Watch without a Face (more of that brilliant Asian Designing)

The Watch

The LED watch was designed by Hironao Tsuboi and appears to just be a metal band that tells time in military time. Push a button, BOOM: you get the time. Don't push the button, BOOM: no time, very simple and plain, but very cool.

Nixon: Ceramic Player Timepiece

NIXON’S FIRST SWISS MADE CERAMIC WATCH.

5X HARDER THAN STAINLESS STEEL

So dope...I'd wear this in a totally white lacoste outfit...tennis shoes and the whole nine lol. The Ceramic Player is the name of this magnificent Nixon watch entirely made of ceramic. The white gives this watch a sweetness and lightness, while the brilliant red ruby at the foot of the dial, tells you that it is indeed made by a Swiss watchmaker.

Available on Nixon's website for 1400 bucks.

TAG Heuer: Monaco 24hr Concept Chronograph

This watch is siiiiick!

TAG Heuer is celebrating 40 years of the Monaco model with this Twenty Four Concept Chronograph Anniversary piece. The square face is a simple killer. “The large-faced, black-textured dial bears an oversize “24″ at 12 o’clock, in honour of the 24 of Le Mans, and the iconic blue and orange livery of Gulf Oil – the same colours TAG Heuer Ambassador Steve McQueen wore in his 1970 film classic, Le Mans.”

My favorite 2008 throwback - G-Shock Glide Skeleton Watch

It was Casio's 25th Anniversary Collection watch, The Glide Skeleton Watch. President Obama was said to have worn this one. The combination of clear plastic along with the gold accents made this G-Shock watch a definate one to pick. Good luck finding this one on E-Bay...

These are the 2009 joints...

It's decent looking...
