I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I am every season with the development of New York brand 3sixteen. The growth of the collection in recent seasons feels very organic and at the right pace. The latest pieces to be added to the collection are a blazer, a duffel coat, stadium jackets, as well as some shirts and accessories, including ties and scarfs.





The scarfs are crafted from 100% Woolrich wool, the ties are 100% silk and handmade in New York. The new jackets are also all US made, ensuring a high quality level. Compared to previous collections, the new line definitely seems to come with higher pricing, which fits the look of the brand though. All new pieces are now available in the 3sixteen online store.

Norwegian Rain debuts their Autumn 2009 collection of high impact raingear. Bergen, arguably the rainiest city on Planet Earth, is about as proper a city to produce the new line. Working with a high end Japanese textile maker, Norwegian Rain’s jackets remain eco-friendly by using waterproof/breathable material made from recycled fibers.



Creative director Alexander Helle mentions, “We have worked in three years to make the raincoats as subtly functional as possible. All seams are sealed. Air holes under arms and in neck. The water tunnel in the front is an off-shore detail hindering water pouring into the garment while simultaneously allowing air to circulate out. The high-end waterproof/breathable membrane are covered with a satin layer to further keep the technical, high performance visually understated.”

Fall/Winter 2009 Jacket: Stussy x Afdicegear

For Fall/Winter 2009 Stussy once again worked with Afdicegear on a couple of products. This season they present a new collaborative technical jacket and some gloves. The jacket comes with a Gore-Tex shell. Both the jacket and the gloves will be released on September 19th.

The Martin Margiela low top trainer comes as part of his Fall/Winter 2009 Collection in an all-over velvet version. Not only the sneaker upper, but also the mid-sole, outer sole and the laces are entirely covered in velvet, resulting in an overall very interesting look.

Adidas SLVR: Fall 2009 - The upcoming SLVR selections

Marking their Fall 2009 season, adidas present a preview into their fashion-geared SLVR sub label, which represents the middle ground between their Originals range and the more high end Y-3 line from Yohji Yamamoto. The upcoming SLVR selections find themselves within a spectrum of flattering cuts and a well rounded variety of Fall color tones.

Supra & Kr3w: Fall 2009 Collection

The Supra and Kr3w Fall 2009 Collections have landed in the US, at least in part. From the Supra Fall 2009 Collection I liked the Skytop in cracked black. Their new lifestyle sneaker, the Thunder, comes in a simple black suede colorway which I thought was simple and clean. It's all available now at Factory 413.

Vans Vault: Fall 2009 Hi Fi LX

For Fall 2009, Vans Vault will be releasing a new high top sneaker, the Hi Fi LX. The sneaker will be released next season in an all black pony hair version, a black/white pony hair zebra pattern and a gold/purple colorway. The sneaker features regular lacing at the bottom and hooks at the top, similar to hiking boots. Look out for these in August.

H&M: Fall/Winter 2009 Men’s Look Book

Over the years H&M is no longer just a spot to buy basics, they have expanded their men’s line and proved not only can they design women’s clothes right but men’s as well. ModeMan gives us a glimpse of the world of a sophisticated man, H&M’s fall 2009look book features key themes like New Tailor, Ethnic Glamor, Forest and Soil, Power and Silhouette. Key garments in the collection consists of blazers, western shirts, pants, flannel shirts, velvet suits, uniform-inspired rock, classic fine-knits and bulky knits. Colors are basic and pieces can be mixed and matched, lots of staple pieces. The looks are sleek and well put together, the fall collection is slated to hit stores starting at the end of August.

Marshall Artist made this jacket and I think it's incredible (but again - I'm a jacket fiend), I love the detailing and the over sized leather pockets.
