An MC from the Boogie Bronx, Frank Ramz is due to release a project called "Quite Frankly" (highly anticipated music by me personally). This track leaked to the internet was really among the tracks on the cutting room floor and did not make the cut for the highly awaited project. Nevertheless, any new music from Ramzy is dope.

This is the official video for The ILLZ “Ode To New York” (6 videos in total from an upcoming project called “In Between Video Series” presented by OnSmash x 2DopeBoyz x YouHeardThatNew and due out August 24th.
Directed by Kristopher Rey-Talley.
This is what the director had to say.
“So, sadly, this concludes my contribution to the ILLZ’ In Between Video Series. This is the lowest concept of all the vids. Intentionally simple and straightforward. A portrait of an artist praising his love for the city just over the water. The city that makes him fall in love, that eats him alive, that makes him alone. The city he must conquer.”
"This was shot in my Bed-stuy brownstone home & around the way in Bed-Stuy/Ft. Greene, Brooklyn NY. Oftentimes, you may find yourself reminiscing about someone you dig while out for a corner store run or walk. Summertime in the hood is swell, folks."

I came by way of this news through DJ PREMIER'S BLOG, and I just wanna say for the record (R.I.P. to Guru and L.I.P. (Live in Peace) to DJ Premier, because if it weren't for those two men the Hip Hop/Jazz Genre may never have rose to the heights that it did in the mid 80's and that birthed the jazz influences in hip hop throughout the 90's.
Many of the legendary groups that dominated 90's Hip Hop had fall outs and differences of opinion, it was the trend of a changing music industry where some would say it went from great music to worse; and the politics that strangled rap music evidently did the same to the group that so many loved called Gang Starr. I look at these occurrences in music not with sadness but with an awakened optimism; for they are the lessons left for me to learn, and Guru was and is the right kind of example to learn from.
Th scandal that's ensued between the various parties all vying for control of who get's to handle Guru's affairs is the right of no one else but Guru (who made a choice by choosing that person to be his 7 year friend and producer Solar, probably his right of attorney in all legal matters). I respect Guru's decision, but I don't respect all of Solar's decisions to date. I applaud DJ Premier for posting up the information that has informed fans even if the official letter written by Guru's hand doesn't speak that favorably of DJ Premier (it shows class and respect on his part).
There has been a lot of confusion as to how Guru would have been able to write a letter given his condition at the time of Guru's final statement (some even suspect malicious tampering and manipulation by his current producer Solar). Regardless of whatever version of the story you want to ascribe to, one thing is for certain, Guru is now freed from the suffering that came as a result of the Cancer that he contracted; and for that at least his fans are grateful. May his music live in the hearts and minds of those who truly honored his style of Hip Hop, and maybe because of him in some small way Hip Hop is still not dead. I will endeavor to do my part to keep it alive also through the works of my movement I AM IN DEMAND.COM.
This has been a highly anticipated, long awaited for Mixtape (because everything this guy gets on I wanna listen to). He's an MC named Frank Ramz from the Bronx, whose previous work had floored me just when I had begun to turn my ears away from most Rap Music.
I wanted to listen to the tracks before posting as other blogs had already done; so that way I could give you all the run-down on what I actually liked. First off: this mixtape differs from his previous projects because naturally this mixtape is called Frankenstein (it's the inner monster, the beast within, meant to be the more aggressive and tenacious side of Frank Ramz).
Tracks that I liked right away were: The Terrorist, Quick Strike, Monster Bash, More Sober Thoughts, Dope $#!T’ (and especially ‘Give Me Room’ mainly because he shouts me out at the end of the song, and for the record Ramz (if your reading this) the support is always there brotha, just keep making dope music.
About this project he had this to say:
"This tape was basically done in one day, just me letting out a side of me that I usually keep hidden. Me talking a whole lot of sh*t!! But I definitely had fun making it and I hope you all enjoy this. BIG SHOUT OUT to my brother Vick from Reupspot.com for helping me put this one together!
*Frankly Speaking...* & *Quite Frankly...* are coming soon...don't worry, they won't be anything like this. This is like an appetizer and those 2 projects will be the main courses"

Gizmodo.com had this interesting story about “10 technologies we were promised but never got” in the past 100 years. Some of these things are plain crazy and when you weigh in all the things that weren’t promised compared to what we do have now, we can’t be mad, especially when some places still don’t have running water or electricity!
Cities Under Domes: The architect and all-around visionary R. Buckminster Fuller believed that one day, cities in cold-weather regions could be encased under temperature-controlled Geo-Domes. Fuller argued back in the ’60s that such a dome over New York City would pay for itself in 10 years, as there would be no more need for snow removal. In addition to temperature control, the domes were also supposed to contain germ filters that would have prevented us from getting sick too.

Savantism (A Savant): a rare condition in which persons with developmental disorders (including autism spectrum disorders) have one or more areas of expertise, ability or brilliance that are in contrast with the individual's overall limitations.
Rakim's comeback album, slated for a fall release, has overcome several obstacles, including production issues with Dr. Dre (the album the two were working on came to naught) and longtime partner Eric B. But for Rakim, it's not about focusing on what's missing from his new project, but rather how to crystallize it and jump back into the spotlight of a genre he helped revolutionize.
Fans were expecting a masterpiece like "Paid in Full" or "Follow the Leader" when they heard you and Dr. Dre were collaborating. What went wrong?
"Too many creative differences. [Dre] wanted to go in one direction, and I wanted to go in another. I really wish we could've gotten on the same page, and an album would've come out like four years ago. There weren't any bridges burned, though, so hopefully we can work together again. One good thing that did come out of living in California for a few years was it opened me up to some West Coast sounds that I didn't know existed."
I don't agree with everything being said here, but a good chunk of it is pretty reasonable to me...and I posted it because it reminds me of why I love New York, whether in the barbershops or on the street corners, discussions like these spring up from time to time among the black cultural and religious groups in Harlem, Brooklyn, the Bronx etc, with the 5% Nation of Gods and Earths, The Hebrew Isrealites, The Nation of Islam, The Zulu Nation, The black nationalist groups of Markus Garvey, former black panthers and the New Black Panther Party, the mystics and those who study Meta-physics, the groups who study ancient Kemet and African traditions, the Moorish Society...I'd talk with them and reason with them on the corner. New York has always been a center for black cultural expression and black conciousness...and I love it.
