Ancient Astronaut Theory or God's Pantheon of divine beings who administer the Cosmos?

The Ancient Astronaut theorists have compiled a wonderful tapestry of questions (and not many answers). All of these questions steeped in the most ancient of mysterious; and they've attributed the origin of these mysteries to nothing other than extraterrestrials from either another planet or another dimension. If this sounds a little far-fetched to you, your not alone, because like most people you've relegated these mysteries as unsolvable, or you've left such questions answerable only by those who are into Archeology.

The Ancient Astronaut theorists delve into the mysteries of these ancient architectural achievements, but they don't do it using science alone like Archaeologists do; there using sacred religious texts and the stories from legends and myths to give them justifiable weight in the arena of public opinion. Now how does that make their theories justifiable truth? It's safe to say that there are still greater numbers of adherents to religion than there are adherents to science, no matter how secular our world has gotten. Ancient Astronaut theory in my opinion strikes the sheppard to scatter the sheep. Sheep who have already begun to question their faith in God, and now they can find something more physical to latch on to, an alien being (the Annunaki) who according to Sumerian text descended from the heavens and gave primitive man a head start on civilization.



Daniel 4:17: "This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men."

To me...Ancient Astronaut Theory uses passages like the one shown above from the Bible to support it's theories. I can already see how religion will combat these claims by simply claiming that these extraterrestrial beings are themselves either demons or angels, working within the divine council or hierarchy of God. Religious ideologues will always be able to say that God created the alien even if the alien tampered with man, and to that there will be no defence until of course an alien ship lands down on this planet declaring to all who would believe that they are in fact the gods that we have always believed in. Until then this entire discussion about whether it was Aliens or God is all conjecture and fanciful story-telling at best.

I will say this about ancient astronaut theory, I do love how it challenges earth's timeline of history, how it digs to find evidence that debunks long held claims in both Archeology and History (that the Pyramid of Giza was a tomb, which I don't happen to believe is true). Our textbooks on history are an out-dated propaganda and there are so many loose ends that have been considered legitimate means to an end. So in my opinion it's healthy to inject good questioning into the debates that have long had it's doors closed by orthodoxy. The findings at Puma Punku we're amazing. The precision stone cutting abilities of the Inca found at Puma Punku merit more investigation. The painting by artist Carlo Crivelli in the year 1486 entitled "The Annunciation" was a remarkable old world illustration of a UFO. The Piri Reis Map caught my attention also (not because I thought aliens gave them the aerial precision with which to make such a map) but because I've always thought that man was smarter than the current timeline of history would give him credit for.

2013: Will Smith and screenwriter Randall Wallace, set to make "The Last Pharaoh"

The Egyptian Pharoah Taharqa: a member of the Nubian dynasty of Egypt, and he was more a ruler over the Kingdom of Kush. His reign can be dated from 690 BC to 664 BC. He was the son of Piye, the Nubian king of Napata who had first conquered Egypt. Mentioned by Greek historian Strabo as one of the greatest military tacticians in the world. He's believed to be Tirhakah, King of Ethiopia, who's mentioned in the Old Testament (noted in the bible in 2 Kings 19:9; and Isaiah 37:9 as Tirhakah) who drove the Assyrian king Sennacherib away from destroying Jerusalem.



Taharqa wasn't just a fighter, he was devoted to peaceful works like restoring temples, and building sanctuaries all over Nubia and Egypt. Nevertheless, his biggest claim to fame is fighting the Assyrians, who invaded Egypt in 677. He didn't exactly defeat them -- they took the city of Memphis and established the 26th dynasty, and Taharqa was driven back to Nubia, where he died in 664.



This movie definitely has the potential of an action packed story because Egypt's history is replete with drama and adventure, but I'm curious as to how it's going to be fleshed out. With screenwriter Randall Wallace (Braveheart) at the helm, I am willing to bet that Taharqa will become a mixture of King Leonidas and William Wallace. The saving of Jerusalem is, I think, the high point of the story and has the most historical relevance ... but I'm sure it will romantically illustrate how he attempted to defend his homeland, and that's reportedly what the film will focus on.



My Conclusion: It will be very interesting to see Will Smith deliver in the history genre and it will have to do better than movies like Troy and Alexander. I will also say what most people won't say...that Will Smith is one of the lightest skinned, socially accepted black actors in Hollywood and he'll play one of the blackest of Pharoahs in Ancient Egypt; so he'll have to go work on his tan, but regardless, I couldn't think of anyone better because Will Smith is the biggest box office draw in the business and a movie of this kind needs his type of commercial appeal, he's black enough to pull if off...lol. Something the movie won't show you is how Historically, it was really the armies of Taharqa's nephew Tantamani who were the ones who briefly wrested control of Egypt from the Assyrians before being driven back to Nubia, making Tantamani, not Taharqa, the last Pharaoh of the Twenty-Fifth Dynasty, but oh well. Another point to bring up is this; President Obama's first term ends on January 20 2013, effectively though on November 4 2012 (if not re-elected). A month before or after the Mayan Doomsday of December 21, 2012. Just around this time is when Will Smith will galvanize the public mind around a black pharoah (symbolically this is Obama) as the last pharoah/president defending the homeland, against the Assyrians (who people will read as being the Arabs, i.e Iran and the Taliban). No one does prescriptive programming like Hollywood lol.

Blue Lotus Tea: Sacred among the ancient Egyptians and wise men of the east

So what exactly have you heard about blue lotus? Well blue lotus and sacred lotus, or Nelumbo Nucifera is very popular among the Ancient Egyptians, Nubians, Abyssinians, and a bunch of other historical African Civilizations of the ancient world. To the Egyptians this plant represented the sun and rebirth. It was presented at parties, and took on a sacred significance at death. There is little wonder that it became the floral symbol of Upper Egypt, and a flower enjoyed by all people throughout Egyptian history.



Today it has become very popular in modern culture as having mystical powers creating moderate euphoric feelings of love and happiness. The flowers of the blue lily have been found to contain apor-phine, a substance that is closely related to the opiate apomorphine. Many people like to mix the sacred blue lotus with their wine much like the Egyptians. Other blue lotus enthusiasts feel that consuming the sacred flower will give you that much more of euphoria.



The god of the blue water lily was Nefertem, Lord of Perfume. The flowers were not only noted for their delightful perfume by the Egyptians but also for bringing euphoria, and inducing an ecstatic state and stimulation. Many historians thought it was a purely symbolic flower, but now it's also known to give "a sort of Viagra effect" making one more sensual.



Because of the flowers unusual characteristic of opening in the morning and closing in the early evening, they believed the Blue Lotus flower held the key to creation of the universe. The Blue Lotus flower is used as an aid for many ailments as well as for recreational use. Many people buy blue lotus...

- To relieve pain
- To enhance memory
- To increasing circulation
- As a sexual aphrodisiac
- To experience feelings of euphoria and ecstasy



The effects of Blue Lotus are typically mild which is why it is so popular amongst experimenters. Blue Lotus is in no way addictive and is a nice inexpensive way to augment your mood for a nice relaxing weekend. When drinking it myself...I would notice that while in this state of relaxed feeling, I was able to answer for myself honestly some deeply personal questions that had been plaguing me. It was a very liberating experience which took me to a whole new psychological plane.

Real Rap: Lupe Fiasco's Gold Chain is an Egyptian Twin Cartouche

In Ancient Egypt royalty had their names encircled with a "cartouche." The cartouche is an oval-like shape which is supposed to represent a rope folded and tied at one end. The cartouche is found on several Egyptian objects; however it is most frequently found on pendants in modern days. The cartouche is used as a sort of amulet to protect the wearer from evil. To wear the cartouche is symbolic of the wearers "glory."

Ancient Egypt was an ancient civilization in eastern North Africa, concentrated along the lower reaches of the Nile River in what is now the modern nation of Egypt. The civilization began around 3150 BC with the political unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under the first pharaoh, and it developed over the next three millennia. Its history occurred in a series of stable periods, known as kingdoms, separated by periods of relative instability known as Intermediate Periods. After the end of the last kingdom, known as the New Kingdom, the civilization of ancient Egypt entered a period of slow, steady decline, during which Egypt was conquered by a succession of foreign powers.

Why I love New York, street corner discussions

I don't agree with everything being said here, but a good chunk of it is pretty reasonable to me...and I posted it because it reminds me of why I love New York, whether in the barbershops or on the street corners, discussions like these spring up from time to time among the black cultural and religious groups in Harlem, Brooklyn, the Bronx etc, with the 5% Nation of Gods and Earths, The Hebrew Isrealites, The Nation of Islam, The Zulu Nation, The black nationalist groups of Markus Garvey, former black panthers and the New Black Panther Party, the mystics and those who study Meta-physics, the groups who study ancient Kemet and African traditions, the Moorish Society...I'd talk with them and reason with them on the corner. New York has always been a center for black cultural expression and black conciousness...and I love it.
