Fashion: Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci works with Converse - and the Y-3 Mobility Duffle

Givenchy and Riccardi Tisci have gotten together with Converse Japan to work on their Converse Addict All Star Hi sneaker. Interesting details include a tonal shiny leopard all over print on top of the black canvas upper, spiked heel and of course the added comfort with the Vibram outer sole. The sneakers will release in Japan in limited quantities on April 27th.



Made from durable Cordura Nylon, Y-3 presents the very solid Mobility Wheel Duffle as part of its Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. When it comes to backpacks and messenger bags, the choice is wide these days. But if you want something proper to travel for longer than a weekend, then this Duffle comes in a nice mix of nylon and leather and features just the right amount of details to set it apart.

Fashion: Essential Designs x Porter – The Boston Navy Bag

I love it when collaborative fashion occurs; that's when 2 or more fashion brands collide to create something entirely unique. The joined forces this time are PORTER and Essential Designs, to create the Winter 2010 Boston Navy. The Boston Navy is constructed with an elegant combination of wool and dark brown leather, and it really makes a rugged but simplistic statement. Equipped with numerous small pockets, its simple appeal is perfect not only for trips but also everyday use. Apparently the bags come in Navy Blue and Khaki as well, although I prefer this army green color, great for putting over the shoulder and taking to the gym.

Disney meets Casio: Mickey Mouse G-Shock DW-5600

Japanese jewelery brand Jam Home Made worked with Disney and Casio to produce some custom designed watches. The dial graphics looks like a retro toy watch for children and the simple illustration style adds an unique feel that have not been pursued by DW-5600 or any other G-Shocks in the past. With all other details blacked out, the watch almost does not look like a G-Shock from afar.

The LCD back lighting have been modified to light up in red Mickey icon. These will be released around early September and SHIPS JET BLUE's online store is currently taking pre-orders.

Collaborative sneaker: Reebok and Uslu Airlines

The collaborative sneakers from Reebok and young Berlin artist Uslu Airlines are on their way to website retailer 'colette'. Putting a night club twist on two styles, Uslu Airlines worked a silver, disco ball inspired Retro Pop (dubbed the Retroball), and a glow in the dark Cortney Mid. Each pair comes packaged with a matching nail polish for women.

For the World Traveler: Rimowa and Bape Design a Cabin Trolley

Working with Germany’s oldest luggage manufacturer Rimowa (who were founded all the way back in 1898), a Bathing Ape have produced this Cabin Trolley, for all you globetrotters out there. As with so many prior Bape releases, this latest item shall be available in either silver and gold. Complete with matching Bape camo and a small blue Rimowa logo, the cases stand at 55cm tall and come with two handles to allow you to hold the case either vertically or horizontally. The trolleys will be released in the first half of next year, for around $1,400.

Dr. Romanelli worked on jackets, hooded jackets and puffy vests and created a pretty large offering. Mexican design and cultural elements are nicely integrated into almost all pieces of the collection. After almost one year of sourcing materials and working on the design part of the collection.

David Beckham and James Bond and Adidas

Beckham is collaborating with James Bond from UNDFTD to design a line of Autumn/Winter collection for Adidas Originals mens. For this collection, Beckham and Bond aim to recreate American classic sportswear with modern silhouettes and details. This collection is created from a wide array of materials ranging from silk to cashmere to leather. Other than apparel, a series of footwear based on classic Adidas styles will also be included into this collaborative collection. There will also be accessories and some thermal layering pieces, so this collection is a wholesome one in terms of selection and type of items.
