I love this new watch from Japanese brand Jam Home Made. The brand uses the Rolex Submariner as the basis for the design. They turned the entire watch black, including the case and strap. The watch looks like it's been rebranded from a real Rolex to Jam Home Made. Looks Dope!
You guys know me by now...I like the simple, clean, but retro look. I got this watch because it's a favorite brand of mine, and it was an impulse purchase based on the price...only 50 bones.
Say Hi to my new friend...the G-SHOCK 7900 in mainly white and blue :) I've owned other colors, but never a white one and I noticed that they can get smudged with everyday wear...so I thought I'd find a tutorial on how to keep your dope white G-shocks clean as white needs to be. I don't know this nerdy kid in the video but I'm assuming that his cleaning method works. Although personally I think you could easily clean off any dirt with just mild soap and a toothbrush, which would remove any dirt for the most part.
Nail polish remover, otherwise known as acetone is an aggressive organic cleaner which could damage the resin band, and this video doesn't address the passive staining that becomes a part of your watch over time. Nothing white is gonna last forever...so the best thing for any White G-Shock, just as it is with White sneakers is "moderate use" (don't go to sleep with your white watch on, and don't over wear any watch with a white band, accessorize in accordance with your outfit only).
Japanese jewelery brand Jam Home Made worked with Disney and Casio to produce some custom designed watches. The dial graphics looks like a retro toy watch for children and the simple illustration style adds an unique feel that have not been pursued by DW-5600 or any other G-Shocks in the past. With all other details blacked out, the watch almost does not look like a G-Shock from afar.
The LCD back lighting have been modified to light up in red Mickey icon. These will be released around early September and SHIPS JET BLUE's online store is currently taking pre-orders.
Continuing G-shock's ever growing list of collaborative projects, mastermind JAPAN is the latest Japanese brand to take on the popular Frogman model. Featuring subtle branding on the face, the watch includes signature skull-logos on the backlight, reverse plate and box. Including all the usual technical features of the Frogman, Mastermind has opted for a solid all-black-everything colorway. The chunky watch is limited to just 200 pieces and was only officially released at the Ron Herman Futago-Tamagawa flagship store, though you can pick one up at the link above the top picture.
It was Casio's 25th Anniversary Collection watch, The Glide Skeleton Watch. President Obama was said to have worn this one. The combination of clear plastic along with the gold accents made this G-Shock watch a definate one to pick. Good luck finding this one on E-Bay...
