Did Sep emerge from thin air? or is he a blast of fresh air lyrically?
Above is some older footage taken of Sep showing you some of his lyrical prowess. THE WHO IS SEP (Mixtape is coming soon) and the project is expected to have features from some really prominent rappers in rap history. Sep embarks on the future...

Having over fifteen years of writing, performance, and recording experience, veteran emcee Grimace Love is a skilled lyricist, and multi-talented artist who is making huge steps towards success. Grimace Love was first heard in 1997 when he featured on Frankenstein’s “UV” EP in “Combine with Frankenstein”. Grimace Love was a founding member of the hip hop powerhouse, Monolith, and in 1998 Grimace appeared on four out of six tracks on the well-received Monolith “The Long Awaited…” EP.
A LITTLE HISTORY: In 2001/2002 Grimace Love released his single, video, and CD EP “At First Sight” which received content wide accolades. Now his powerhouse projects are funneled through his corporate identity called WHOLE WHEAT BROTHERS MUSIC, and his expansion continues with Grimace Love’s track called “GrimStone” below...
Choclair is a foundational hip-hop artist from the streets of Toronto (Scarborough to be exact, where I personally believe most of Toronto's best lyricists reign from lol, sorta like New York's borough of Brooklyn). Kareem "Choclair" Blake released an EP called 'What It Takes' in 1997 which was accompanied by a music video featuring Jully Black. To many Torontonians in particular it is now deemed a Canadian classic (and it's had the time to be considered that because Toronto's rap scene has developed dramatically since the release of that song).
Original Song...
Choclair is a standout rapper in the burgeoning Canadian hip-hop scene and most of Choclair's independent releases were featured around the globe on prestigious hip-hop compilations. In the golden age of Canada's rap scene (in the 90's) from the likes of Saukrates, Kardinal Offishall, Jully Black, Solitair, Marvel, Tara Chase and many more of T-Dot's finest, Choclair undoubtedly has his own place among the ranks of those just mentioned). In the spirit of honoring that very tradition, I AM IN DEMAND MANAGEMENT in conjunction with WHOLE WHEAT BROTHERS MUSIC puts out this re-make of the song 'What It Takes' revisited by a Toronto MC named 'Sep' featuring singer Lisa Banton. This track is from a mixtape that will be released again in the summer of this year entitled 'Who is Sep' (look out for all updates)..
Behind the Scenes of the 1st shoot, from a sky rise Balcony in downtown Toronto. An Artist in the making...

He's a Prodigy of I AM IN DEMAND.Com and Whole Wheat Brothers Music. This is a view of me on deck as I observe the workings on set, one of the locations was near Dundas Square in Downtown Toronto. We got metric tons of brilliant footage to be edited and I'm hoping my blog readers love this authentic sounding Hip Hop Video (the beat produced by I AM IN DEMAND.COM).
Looking over the drawings (because every proper video has a storyline) and these were some of the depictions that were sketched by the Direction Crew. Working with Director Andre Rehal was a pleasure and a learning experience.

This was on (Day 3) of 'Sep's Video "Dot City" in the broken down Toyota Corolla as stated in the actual song itself...so he's showing you his humble beginnings before you can see his eventual growth as it is right now! Watching Sep's humility while on set was a reminder to me of just how sincere I found him to be as a lyricist, this guy always keeps it 100% real!!!
--
Director Andre Rehal and his crew took shots from the hood of the car & then they took shots from the side with another kind of Cam, always changing the lens for different kinds of wide views. If you look closely (the picture below) at the display screen attached to the camera you can see a shot captured of 'Sep' wearing his hat while in the back seat...lol.

Needless to say...it was long hours...sometimes repetitive, but overall enjoyable, because nothing feels better then the feeling of accomplishment. And after each of the shoots on each of the 3 days we'd all go out like one big family and have a celebratory dinner (Mozel Tov), excited about creating another piece of what will be Toronto's legend.
What Goes into shooting a music video? Well...it can depend upon one's budget, but there's also that one overriding factor that can trump money...and that's VISION. The vision to meld both the song and the visuals together in the most creative way possible...to create an outcome that will have you watching your screen for the duration of the song.
I AM IN DEMAND Management in collaboration with Whole Wheat Brothers Music, in front of the lens of Director Andre Rehal undertake the task of shooting Sep's Music Video for a song entitled 'Dot City' starting tomorrow (for 3 days in total). Below are just some of the rough sketches from the various scenes imagined.
Below is some other work by the same Director we'll be working with named Andre Rehal, a short film called "Jay's Dead" which I thought was pretty dope. Creativity like this catches my attention, despite the scale of the complexity involved, what matters most is the VISION.
WHO IS SEP? is the question everybody has been asking me; he's a Toronto MC who doesn't sound like what's on the radio right now, but you'll be hearing more from him in the near future. He's an artist whose signed on to the I AM IN DEMAND Management team, and I've decided to wanna introduce his artistry and word play to anyone who'd take the time to listen (so that they to can realize that he's dope lyrically). I can guarantee you that he's not your typical rapper by any means whatsoever, and that he'll continue to push the envelope with each of the subjects that he undertakes. We've got some good music production in store for him, and an array of collaborations that will set him apart. His Mixtape WHO IS SEP? is coming soon...
Footage of Sep just messing around a little bit in a rap cypher...
From Toronto: "Ken Masters" takes a stab at Jay Electronica's smash - "Exhibit A" and does a remake of the track and mirrors the overall tone and amber of the feel contained within the original. He does a spin-off of a few of Drake's rhymes as a footnote of Toronto's signiture style while adding many of his own signitures. Ken Masters has opened in arenas for platinum selling artists, such as Young Buck, Mario, Inspectah Deck of the Wu-Tang Clan, and also has wrapped up a west coast tour with Rapper The Game. I thought this track by him was pretty well done, compared to alot of what I've heard out there recently. Download and take a listen...
These rappers could arguably be the best two MC's to come out of Toronto right now; that being Drake and JD ERA. They both did a track together in solidarity for JD ERA's Coming to America Mixtape, and this joint has been in circulation since last year; so it isn't new to us Torontonians, but it deserved a re-post for all of you Americans and Drake-fans worldwide as a re-introduction to Drake right before his incredible fan-fare fire-started. JD ERA is a rapper to take notice of (he's the first one GOING IN on this track), his lyricism is not to be slept on.
